2023-10-07 Sailing with Friends

Hi Everyone. We had another great sail Saturday afternoon.  The front moved through and left a beautiful day behind just in time.  Charlie Boudreaux, Jeff Penny, Dan Connole and my neighbors, Cameron and Linda joined us. We had great sailing wind, 15 to 18 Knots sustained winds with a few gust pushed ESCAPE to 9 knots at one time.  As far as I know that is as fast as the boat has ever been, certainly with me. We had a smorgasbord of food spread out in the cockpit brought by everyone.  We sailed out to the Bay Bridge then over to Thompson Lighthouse and back to Annapolis harbor.  We took a little ride up the Severn River to get a nice view of the Naval Academy and attempted a spin through Annapolis harbor but it was blocked due to the Power Boat Show.  We were out about 3 and a half hours.  We had a great crew and a great time, check out a few of the pics below.
